Experience
Since 2013, I have been conducting legal investigations and coordinating mitigation for several clients throughout the nation.  My experiences have led me from simple surveillance cases, documenting scenes, interviewing witnesses to defense initiated victim outreach, death cases and juvenile re-sentencing cases.  I have honed my skills through experience and a continuing passion to advance my knowledge by attending many professional education classes/seminars.

My experience includes and is not limited to:
  • performing hundreds of felony and misdemeanor investigations for law enforcement
  • researching various records in connection with preparing cases to obtain warrants, make arrests and/or prepare cases for trial, mitigation presentation, civil or criminal defenses.
  • providing testimony in numerous court appearances
  • interviewing, taking statements from and maintaining contact and rapport with clients including defendants, victims, experts, consultants, professionals, lay persons, family members and witnesses
  • preparing investigative reports and detailed social histories
  • researching backgrounds and locating persons
  • investigation of crashes, writing traffic citations
  • Insurance investigation
  • Child welfare, trauma, and best interest of children knowledge and experience
  • knowledge of jail and prison procedure
  • preparing for court and trial working with attorneys and defense teams
  • working with clients and their families

Volunteer Experience
My past volunteer services as a Guardian ad Litem engaged me in working for the best interests of children in assigned dependency court cases, gathering information and advocating fiercely for children.  As a foster parent, I provided emergency and respite care for abused, abandoned and neglected children, providing a safe and loving temporary home.  My experience as a local Neighborhood Accountability Board member brings to light the importance of community partnerships, accountability and the necessity of restorative justice.  I was recently part of the City of Jacksonville’s Violent Crime Task Force and was chosen to continue that work as a member of the City of Jacksonville’s Safety and Crime Reduction Commission.  I strive to be part of the solution.
